First, thanks for dropping into forGreen. Just a brief update—forGreen is “sort of” new, or rather is the rebrand of forBri Marketing & Design. This year I finally made the conscious decision to niche our market to those individuals and businesses who have the same passion for mind-body wellness and eco-chic living as me and my partners.

You can rest assure the talent behind forGreen is seasoned (20 years plus in the industry) and has plenty of successes to back it up (you can check out our previous website here). And no, we’re not hanging on the tails of the “green” buzz. Frankly, you can say “green” has always been the color of our skin.

As far back as I can remember, I have had this innate sub-conscious reasoning to recycle. Some might claim it’s living on a restricted budget in my college years, but for some reason I still can’t seem to let go of the idea that a plastic bag can be recycled until the pea soup seeps out of it. And health – don’t get me started on how those pork rinds will shorten your lifespan by five years and there’s no excuse to not take time out for at least one walk during the day!

You see, I believe what you put in is what you get out, and this thought should be behind every action we take. It’s the basic Golden Rule starting with yourself—both inside and out. The issue most of us face is that we’re not trained to prioritize sustainability, which even makes it harder to wrap that around our businesses. Just like getting trained for your next position at work, or getting trained at the gym for a new health routine, you need to TRAIN YOURSELF TO SUSTAIN YOURSELF. From there miraculous events will be born—creativity rises, the environment gets greener and lives get second chances.

Quite frankly, it can’t get any simpler than that.

So I ask you to join me this year in being a partner, client or friend in creating a movement that sustainability in both mind-body and environment is not only possible, it’s just a way of being. As natural as waking up every morning, you too can train yourself to sustain yourself. You can even instill the same thoughts in your business environment and into the world. It is very possible.

Please feel free to drop a line or provide feedback to a post. If you are a business seeking to expand your market, please feel free to contact us right away. Using the words from one of the great visionaries (and nothing corny about it) Mahatma Gandhi “Be the change you want to see in the world.” And I’ll add…  “and do it today!”
