greencamp_case-study1

>> OVERVIEW

Created: brand, logo, email, posters, support collateral, social media marketing, digital video

GreenCamp ‘08 is an “unconference” where participants design the conference on-the-go in an open environment. It is the first ever BarCamp devoted entirely to “green” initiatives in the Greater Houston region. forGreen was asked to create the brand (including logo), support collateral materials, as well as market the event.

>> SOLUTION

The brand developed is simple, powerful and flexible, allowing for date and region changes. Working with a limited budget, an email and social media campaign was developed and implemented. Additionally a NING site was set up so “members” could connect prior to the event, keeping with the open forum participant concept. Other social media included a facebook group and announcement distributions on Linkedin green groups which gain the interest from the Houston Business Journal, who wrote an article on the event. Other online news media provided online advertising trade. Additional support collateral included posters with removal event tabs, sponsorship packages, t-shirts and powerpoint. Post follow-up included an EVENT VIDEO which was also placed on various social networks.

Expected attendance was exceeded. A group of San Antonio participants showed interest of wanting to start a GreenCamp’09 San Antonio. We can’t wait to attend!
